Why a Google Meet Meeting Was Not Tracked
By the end of this article you will have found why a meeting is missing from your dashboard, and pulled it in if it has already happened.
A meeting you joined is not showing on your Meetings page. Work through these six checks in order. The first three cover most cases, and the fifth fixes the meeting you have already lost.
1. Check the Extension Is Connected
Open Settings. Under Tracking preferences you should see a green check with Chrome extension installed and the line "Automatic attendance tracking is enabled".
If that block is missing, the extension is not installed or not signed in. See Install the Chrome Extension.
2. Check Auto Attendance Is On
On the same page, Auto attendance must be toggled on. Its description reads "Automatically track attendance when you join a Google Meet".
If you switch it, click Save preferences. The button stays inactive until something changes, so if it looks unavailable the setting was already saved.
3. Check You Are Signed In With the Same Google Account
This is the most common cause and the easiest to miss.
AttendKit tracks the Google account it is signed in to. If you signed in to AttendKit with one account and joined the Meet call with another, the meeting is not recorded.
Check the account shown at the bottom of the sidebar. Compare it with the account you used in Google Meet.
4. Refresh Meet Tabs You Opened Before Installing
The extension activates when a page loads. A Google Meet tab that was already open when you installed or updated the extension is not covered.
Close and reopen those tabs, then join the call again.
5. Pull the Meeting In With Retrieve Meetings
If the meeting has already happened, you can still import it.
- Open Meetings.
- Click Retrieve Meetings.
- Click Scan Meet History.
AttendKit scans your Google Meet history and lists what it finds. Meetings already in your dashboard are marked TRACKED with an Open button.
Retrieved meetings arrive with the same attendance data as a live tracked meeting: names, join and leave times, duration and percentages. Full detail is in Retrieve Past Meetings.
6. Check Your Meeting Limit
On the Free plan you can track 30 meetings in total. It is a lifetime allowance and it does not reset.
Once you reach it, new meetings are not tracked and Retrieve Meetings is blocked. Everything you already tracked stays available. Your usage is shown at the bottom of the sidebar. See Pricing & Plans.
If You Use the Workspace Add-on
The add-on does not start on its own. During the call, open AttendKit from the Google Meet side panel to begin tracking. You can close the panel afterwards and it keeps running until the meeting ends.
If you joined a call and never opened the panel, that meeting was not tracked. Use Retrieve Meetings to pull it in.
Still Missing
Contact support with your Google account email, the date and time of the meeting, and the Meet code if you have it. Those three things are usually enough to find what happened.

Tracking follows the Google Meet tab. Closing it ends the recording at that point. Reopening the call creates a new session, which appears in the activity timeline.
Switch Auto attendance off in Settings before you join, then switch it back on afterwards.
